Turbo Outrun has been released on the Commodore Plus/4. Here's a few words from Csabo from Plus/4 World.

The wait is over! TCFS pulls of the impossible once again, the highly anticipated conversion the classic arcade game Turbo Outrun makes its debut on the Commodore Plus/4!

Turbo Outrun, originally developed and published by Sega in 1989, has captivated players with its fast-paced gameplay and thrilling races. Can you drive fast enough to make sure your girlfriend Norma doesn't leave you?

It's no hyperbole that Turbo Outrun is the best racing simulator on our system: great gameplay, awesome graphics with a great sound track. All this can be yours for the price of... absolutely free! Doomed PETSCII Pacman, Commodore Plus/4

Yes you've got it at first sight, it's him, it's your friendly neighbourhood yellow wakawaka pills eater. But now, in a Doom-like environment...in PETSCII fashion! Weeeird...
Kornél Kolma also known as Ko-Ko, continues to fulfil his personal PETSCII games' series, entering now straight on a universally sealed classic, and mixing stirring cooking it up with something very strange! And what has come out of the pan, in the very end? Doomed PETSCII Pacman, clearly! A brand new way to play against the phantasmatic Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde... And...Zinky? AND DRINKY? Who aaare they!?

Yewdow, Commodore Plus/4

In Yewdow you control a robot that marks out a route with arrows for a car that has no driver! Despite this formality, the car still seems to drive just fine. Your main focus is to collect all the flags on the screen laying out the arrows in their pathway until the last flag is collected. The game really is that simple. Early levels are very easy with only a weird ghost cat occasionally running into you, easy to avoid, more an annoyance than any real problem. As you would expect later levels become a little more challenging. My first experience of this game was on the ZX Spectrum, a nice version with some pleasant cutesy music playing in the background. From what I can tell the games original roots are Japanese with many different versions released for various Vintage computers. You can download load them all here. Today I want to share the Commodore Plus/4 version, which was released this year by Inufuto.

Cauldron II: The Pumpkin Strikes Back, Commodore Plus/4

Coders TCFS and Murphy along with Csabo (Music) and Unreal (additional graphics) have released a Commodore Plus/4 version of the classic game Cauldron II. I am a big fan of the first game, and the second one although not as well known, is still a lot of fun to play.

Cauldron II: The Pumpkin Strikes Back was developed and published by Palace Software as a sequel to their 1985 game Cauldron. The platformer was released in 1986 for the ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, and Amstrad CPC home computers. Players control a bouncing pumpkin that is on a quest of vengeance against the “Witch Queen”. The roles of the two were reversed from the first game, in which the witch defeated a monstrous pumpkin.

“This time the player takes on the role of Bouncey – what a fun name for a pumpkin – who does, in fact, bounce, constantly. Your quest is to guide him through Witch’s castle (more than 120 screens!) to enact his revenge. There are six magical items – a Chalice, Axe, Shield, Crown, Scissors, and Book of Spells – scattered throughout, and Bouncey must collect them in order to complete the game. Avoid all the baddies – some of which Bouncey can shoot down, if he collects the “spark”. It won’t be easy!”

Blob Fox, Commodore Plus/4

Blob Fox is an action game with puzzle elements for the Commodore Plus/4 that is similar to the Arcade classic Q*bert, but without the isometric play-field. Change every pattern to a target colour by moving the character over it while avoiding obstacles and enemies.

Stunt Car Racer Preview. Commodore Plus/4

Stunt Car Racer was always one of my favourite games on the Amiga. Who would of thought all these years later we would see a Plus/4 version. Well.. not quite a full game just yet, maybe 'proof of concept' is a better description. It is, however, very impressive considering the graphical limitations of the Commodore Plus/4 as a games machine. Check out the video below and stay tuned for more updates.

LittleSixteen V4, A C16 Clone Board by SukkoPera

It looks like my dreams have finally come true. A brand new C16/Plus/4 compatible clone board is becoming a reality thanks to SukkoPera over at Plus/4 World Forums. According to SukkoPera, he's just ordered the prototypes for version 4 of the board.

Features
* 100% Plus/4 compatible User Port
* 512 kB Hannes-style RAM expansion
* Onboard SID (either 6581 or 8580+Digifix) + 3rd joystick port (SID audio is mixed with the TED/Ext audio with configurable volume but direct dedicated output is also available)
* Joystick swapper
* Ability to replace keyboard MOS 6529 with 74x273 (so that 6529 can be recycled for User Port, but that one as well can be replaced with a 74x654)
* Removed FB13 in order to reduce luma/chroma crosstalk and improve video quality (Thanks @TLC!)
* Direct TED output connector (experimental)
* Pin header with all tape signals (think Internal Tapuino)
* Pin header with all IEC signals (think Internal SD2IEC)
